ATARI CAB MEMORIES - ASTEROIDS

The addition of elements of the arcade journey would not be complete without Asteroids

No it would not.....

Asteroids is most definitely one of the original and most popular arcade games ever!

Asteroids Officially Licensed Tee by Seven Squared in collaboration with Difuzed #KeepingTheGameAlive

Released in November 1979 by Atari it was to become legendary in the story of the arcade.

By the way, the Atari VCS version sold over three million copies! Big numbers at the time.

Gameplay wise, you must destroy all the asteroids and alien spacecrafts to complete each level. Each time you completed a level, the number of asteroids and alien attacks increased.

At all times you must avoid a collision with the asteroids or get hit by alien fire. If you did, you lost a life. An extra life is awarded every 10,000 points. Note that you can get close and it always seemed to get harder when a new life was on the horizon. Annoying when needed!

Be careful not to collide with the asteroids that are all around you, and avoid counter-fire from the saucers.

From the below video, it will not be hard to see where the inspiration for the design of this Tee from the journey came from.

It is all pretty much self explanatory. A game that once you knew how to do it, you had a lot of fun and it was incredibly addictive. The original arcade version is still the best but we would say that wouldn't we.

Once again, please remember, every item sold within the Seven Squared environment contributes in part to the work of games industry mental health charity Safe In Our World

Not only is this journey about sharing and wearing the moments themselves, but also what those mean to our mental health. After all, each and every one of them was part of a magical rollercoaster ride that continues to this day.

Please continue to spread the word no matter where you are. Together we are wearing and sharing the greatest journey and #KeepingTheGameAlive.
