Who are Seven Squared?

We started as a collective of gamer artists, illustrators, designers and licensing professionals.

Having worked with some of the biggest gaming franchises in the world, in mid 2021 we thought it time to give kudos to the whole story and history of video games in a unique way and create truly original and fully licensed limited edition apparel from some of the world's best retro games.

As life long gamers and professional designers based in the UK, we thought it might be a good idea to keep alive the names of some of the world's favourite retro games. Some you remembered, and some you did not, but they all held a place in video game history and our hearts.

Back then we set out to speak to the original game owners and properly licence our designs so each design is approved by the original studio or rights owner before you see it.  

This was wonderful for a few years but it had its limitations. Creatively and commercially when it comes to wanted to tell more of the story.

The main thing however was the retrogaming community loved our creations, our takes on the unique journey and why we were doing what we were to support the mental health conversation.

As per above, our original inspiration came from our desire to make a difference for everyone and enable the wonderful retrogaming community to support each other's mental health. So, we teamed up with video game mental health charity Safe In Our World. After all, playing video games has always been supportive of our mental health. 

 

We now also support other brilliant causes in Football and Events that are making a brilliant impact for mental health and wellbeing in their communities.

Every sale contributes to community wellbeing projects.
