COMMODORE 64 - APRIL 1994 - 25 YEARS SINCE IT ENDED (initially)
Share
Looking back, April 1994 was a sad time, but actually just another day in the lifecycle of the evolution of computer games.
Oh the times we had playing so many great games on the Commodore 64.
We have already touched on a few of them in our Blog and social media posts to date.
The Commodore 64 was so successful that at one point it had nearly 40% US market share.
Now that was significant at the time.
If you thought hardware today wasn't user friendly, you ain't seen nothing yet.
One of our recent blog posts touched on "Loading" but this one was extra special.
Watch this tutorial based on loading games with the floppy drive, and all will become clear.
Boy it was worth it though.. OK, not in all cases, but most of the time...
Some would say they were pleased to see the end of it and move on, but like everything, when you are a kid and you are having fun, they are memories on your gaming journey that stay with you forever.
We can big up the greatness but we can sometimes be totally within our rights to highlight some of the frustrations too and the original C64 had a few.
Finally, this would probably be the right time to confirm that we are starting to design now for Level 3 and the Commodore 64 is in there.
Level 3 will encompass a group of iconic logos amongst other random additions that all hold special memories for us on our journey and we will share the other 4 soon.
We hope you are continuing to enjoy our journey #KeepingTheGameAlive and thanks for your ongoing support.
Please continue to spread the word.
