SAFE IN OUR WORLD EDITION - A DIZZY ADVENTURE

Posted by Seven Squared on

It is with the greatest pleasure that we are able to bring Dizzy to the journey.

One of the greatest adventurers on the journey playing games and Dizzy brings a wonderful new phase to life.

This particular addition would also not have happened without the generosity and support of Codemasters and the Oliver Twins.

Why is today such a significant day, well it is the day we also officially announce our charity partner, the video games mental health charity Safe In Our World.

Many of you will remember Dizzy and his series of video games but some won't.

So here we go with another short history lesson which we hope will mean you will fall in love with Dizzy and want to wear him (on a Tee or perhaps a Hoodie one day)…

Created by the Oliver Twins and published by Codemasters, Dizzy was one of the most successful British video game franchises of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Dizzy first arrived on the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC, and moved on to other systems through to Nintendo with over a dozen games published between 1987 and 1992.

Proper Rock and Roll of his time and we all had such an eggciting time playing (had to get one of those in).

Named after an anthropomorphic egg, he was called Dizzy because of the way he somersaulted and rolled around landscapes.

The games are set in various fairytale-like locations and typically involve Dizzy trying to save his friends and family, the Yolkfolk, often from the schemes of his nemesis, the evil wizard Zaks.

Enjoy this video because, as ever, pictures tell a thousand words.

We continue with the journey #KeepingTheGameAlive and remember all royalties due to the IP owner on sales of Dizzy Tees plus a share of profits on sales of all Tees now go to our designated charity partner Safe In Our World.

Please go check them out and all the amazing work they are seeking to do around mental health in the computer games business.
