SOME OF THE BEST SHIPS OF THE TIME? - URIDIUM

Throughout the history of video games, spaceships have formed a huge piece of the journey. Side scrollers have as well. Oh the 80s were so cool....

So many side scroller and up scrollers...

Having started sharing the journey with Xenon, we switch screen sides here and pick up Uridium. You can now add this great Tee to your story.

Uridium Officially Licensed Tee by Seven Squared #KeepingTheGameAlive

We played on the C64 version but there were other options such as the Spectrum and Atari amongst others hit the market, each level, in the original, was also named after a precious metal. Yes, Uridium is not one but it was thought it was at the time. Quirky indeed.

I do not know why, but I just used to love how the ship flipped over and back and forth. It was very appealing, engaging and satisfying. You could spend hours playing it.

The flow of the game was also pretty rewarding as an experience.

Go and check it out for yourself on platforms like Antstream. You will be surprised how enjoyable it is.

What a time to be around playing games that was!

Finally, as with most of our posts on games from the journey, here is a rather lovely video on the game, which you will find both enjoyable and educational. It does cover the US version of the original game however.

Please note, some colours are unavailable due to stock issues. Any that are on the store and available should be fulfilled within our usual reasonable timeframes.

Thanks for your support and being on the journey with us #KeepingTheGameAlive plus supporting the conversation around Mental Health with Safe In Our World, the video games mental health charity.
